The complicated story involves the military conquest of a peaceful island-nation by an evil despot and his sorcerer ally. His victory leaves the island's three heroic protectors dead, but, their young children are hidden away to grow to adulthood with different identities, unaware of their heritage, in hope that, in time, they might challenge and defeat the evil ruler. The charming Polly Kuan stars as one of these children who has been adopted by the conquerer himself, initially as an insult to the defeated hero, later as his protégé.

Subject: Public Domain?
Hi

We would like to use a short sequence of this film in our movie. Is it really Public Domain? And if so, does this apply worldwide?

Thanks for your feedback!

Subject: Magnificent
I just watched this movie last night, and I just loved it. In quality the fight scenes are above average (for it's time) and the dubbing is so bad it's good ;) You just have to download this gem if you like martial arts-flicks from the seventies, this is no doubt memorable. I just love that one of the chinese girls is called the "black woman". The greatest thing about this movie is the bad guy, with his insanely long beard. WATCH IT!

Subject: Kung fu at it's greatest
This is a great example of classic kung fu movies. It has all the qualities we fans have come to know and love. The story line is a bit hard to follow due to choppy editing and very little dialogue that doesn't have anything to do just progressing the movie to the next fight scene. The sound effects are so out of control that I found myself really enjoying the action sequences because they are so cliche. And who can resist the gratuitous violence especially when a dwarf is envolved. It harkens back to the days of Yoda. The story has some magical themes and fantasy sequences that I find so fasinating about imported films. It's like a window into a culture so rich in spirtuality and mystism so unknown to the American way of life. plus there's some really good betch slapping going on. this film is very low budget and I think that's the best part. Most of the action seens are pixilated but this movie is still fun to watch. Any avid kung fu fan should ad this one to their list of must sees.
